Complex Media is currently seeking a qualified Web developer (entry to mid level) to join its Digital team. The developer will be responsible for building, testing, debugging and troubleshooting web applications and their related scripts. The developer will work with project manager, other developers and designers, to create elegant solutions to our clients needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prototype, build and style web pages
- Adhere to project schedules and effectively report progress to meet challenging deadlines
- Stay knowledgeable of the industry standards and trends
Must haves:
- 2+ years experience in web application development
- Hands on knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS as well as other web development/production tools
- Experience with DHTML, jQuery and other Ajax frameworks
- Working knowledge of LAMP environment
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatible dynamic web applications (for IE 6+, Firefox 1+, Safari 3+, Chrome etc.)
- Familiarity with and adherence to web standards
Nice to have (not required):
- Experience with ActionScript, Flash or Flex
- Familiarity with MODx, Wordpress and/or other mainstream Open Source CMS
- Knowledge of RSS / JSON / REST principles
- Experience with IDE (Komodo, DW), version control (SVN, CVS) and Debugging tools (Firebug, Charles)
- Familiarity with SEO standards and techniques
